Secretary's Report:

Film Fest Committee Report:

  1. Film screening sessions: All film screening committee members can make weekend screenings; Rachel emailed Gabi and Brandi to see if they would be available for weekend screenings at their house, otherwise we will be doing screenings at SCSU;
  2. Film choices thus far: Reviewers liked “Hollywood J’Taime” and “Eyes Wide Open”; we are looking for at least one more film. If the rest of the films to be reviewed are really bad, the group is open to showing “oldies”. Potential oldies to show in 2010: Priscilla Queen of the Desert, It’s My Party, Starbooty, Party Monster, or others for a “Pick a Movie” audience vote-in segment.
  3. Pioneer Place Dates: No word from Dan on the band. Rachel will chase him again and try to pin him down for an appointment time so that he, Sarah, and I can sit together and finalize arrangements. Dates as we know as April 16 for the band and April 17 for the festival.
  4. Marketing: Group needs to review designs; Sarah is organizing the list of who will approach which businesses/organizations for ads; Rachel will add those involved in ad campaign to the wiki; Isolde will get some SCSU students to design the ads for the program booklet—target would be @ $1500 money raised for 1 day of film (2 or 3 films). We will have a booth in Atwood to sell film festival tickets. Based on Isolde’s suggestion, Rachel will create 2 drafts of surveys—one planning survey to be distributed online and at gay-friendly businesses, and one survey to be distributed at the festival itself—for feedback on how to improve for 2011.
