St. Cloud Out - Meeting Minutes

Secretary's Report:
- Last month’s minutes read by Gabi.
- Motion to approve by Brandi. Seconded by Gary. Approved with no changes.
Treasurer's Report:
- Our balance is $3474.14.
- It will fall very soon as we start to pay for film fest expenses.
- There have been some donations but we are way behind our goal of $500 to pay for the ASL interpreters.
- Program ads are coming in. Thank you to all of you who are putting in the time on this.
Funding/Grants/Fundraising Committee Report:
- Nothing to report
Film Fest Committee Report:
- Movies–
- Friday -- Keep Not Silent, In My Father’s Church
- Saturday – The Gymnast, Almost Normal
- Tickets are available now on the Pioneer Place on Fifth web site.
- Everything is set with Pioneer Place.
- Program will be the same size and format as last year.
- Posters and advertisements – contact has been made with Lavender and Up Next. The posters will be done soon.
- Program advertisers – we mailed out roughly 160 information packets to local businesses through a list from the Downtown Council. Got one ad so far. Thanks Bonnie for donating the stamps!
- Entertainment – still haven’t heard anything from Doug Anderson. Brandi moved and Timothy seconded that if we haven’t heard back from Doug Anderson by 2/15, we should ask Leesa to play during intermission. Approved by all.
- Speakers – Rabbi Edelheit can not join the Friday discussion but has given names of lay people to check with. Pastor Jayne Thompson and Father Kevin have also been invited to participate.
- Budget – Gary, Brandi and Jerry have sold some ads. GLBT Services will donate $500. They will pay for Friday’s movies and buy a $100 ad. We spent quite a bit of time looking over the budget. Our estimated expenses are $2760. Our goal for pre-ticket income is $2300. Right now we are at $700. Thomas motioned and Gabi seconded that we approve the budget of about $3000. Approved by all.
- The ASL interpreters (Ann and Amy) have the movies to get ready for the show.
- Ten tickets will be given to GLBT Services to do with as they see fit.
- Thomas moved and Shawn seconded that we print 250 programs. Approved by all.
- The web site has the most up to date information.

- Ashley from GLBT Services is working on a resource directory. It was suggested that she contact the Downtown Council for their e-mail list. She has an email through us : resource@stcloudout.org

- TC Pride vs. Duluth Pride– after much discussion and weighing the pros and cons of both, Brandi moved and Thomas seconded that we have a booth at Duluth Pride instead of TC Pride. Approved by all.
Announcements:
- Gene Tretter from the University of Minnesota is looking for St. Cloud GLBTA history to display at Pride. Please contact Timothy at GLBT Services if you have anything to contribute.
- GAB potluck on 2/10. More info in the GAB Skinny.
- Cheer Dorothy Cheer will perform at the GAB Dance on 2/17.
